Family Values: Keeping the “why” in front of us

1 Peter 3:15 admonishes: “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear..” For this reason, I decided to write some thoughts down about why we believe in and what is important to keep before us.

Our Founding Fathers placed such a high priority on daily fellowship and devotion to the Word of God- the Bible. This is why our posts often reflect our core beliefs in an Intelligent Designer of our universe.  Our Creator and Designer is fascinating in all He does and we are excited about sharing truth and discoveries about our God in the field of Science.

James 1:27 “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”  It is impossible to be a Christian without caring for the outcast, the widow, and the orphan.  Jesus himself said “Isn’t it the sick who need a doctor?” In every way possible to us, we long to bring healing to the world around us and be the hands and heart of Jesus to the World.

Gifts and talents were given by God, and are part of the equipment that each person was born with to use for God’s Glory.  First and foremost, we want to honor God in our relationship with Him and give Him our lives, our gifts and all that He has given back to Him.  We are merely clay in the hands of the Potter.   For this reason, we share our music for the purpose of encouraging your faith and offering worship to the Lord.   Ephesians 5:19 “..speaking to one another in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; and Colossians 3:16 which says “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”    So whether making a song, or art, or a blog “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus!”  (Colossians  3:17)  It’s what we were created for!
